It's about time.

Okay so this post is long overdue. I decided I needed to play catchup and post our spring pictures since summer is almost over and I am already behind on our summer activities. So expect another long picture post to follow this one.

APRIL

The kids watched conference and actually watched. Here is Alex working on his conference packet

Jayden watched all cuddled up with his two favorite things. The Alphabet and his snugglies.

Dying Easter eggs, and hunting for them. The kids were really fast this year so I only got a few good pictures.

MARCH

We celebrated Alex's Birthday. We had a family birthday and Alex asked for a sleepover with some friends. His Birthday landed on a Wednesday this year so we celebrated on the weekend. We couldn't let his birthday pass without some recognition though so I make him a pancake breakfast and we went to Carls Jr. (his favorite play place) and he opened Two presents.

Making a wish on his Carls Jr Desert.

He opened a present from Grandma first and was very excited for those little lego guys.

This is Alex's favorite painting of Christ. He says it makes Jesus look nice.

this is the other toy he was very excited for. He has not played with it once. When I asked him why he said that this toy is just for "observing". He keeps it on a shelf in his toy room.

The sleep over......

We finally got Jayden's two year old pictures taken. Right after his birthday we both got strep throat, and then we got very busy with everything. But I finally got them taken and they are so cute!

This is so Jayden. He knocked them down on purpose and then cried "OH NOOOOOO"

Jayden recently has started liking Thomas the Train. He went on a two day marathon of Thomas the Train movies and has started sleeping with Thomas and His other Trains by his bed.

Here is Jayden's Birthday Breakfast.

diggin in...

with all the birthdays in March Jayden had the birthday song memorized. He was so excited that we got to sing to him. Here he is singing Happy Birthday to Jayden.

Jayden's favorite Sesame Street Character. Elmo and Cookie are a tie actually.

These are just some random pictures of my kids doing what they do best.

He almost made it up the stairs to the bed....

Alex's Soccer shirt and Medal

What I found when I got out of the shower.

The Culprit

Here is our new pond. Sadly my flowers died. We will eventually add a fountain and some pond grass.

We started with seven fish and three survived.

Ice Cream after soccer practice

It's getting close!!! The spring Scrimmage game is a must for us deprived Bronco fans.

Okay so that was our spring. Along with some long hours working on a huge photography job and Stillman having to pull a few all nighters at work himself, we kept ourselves pretty busy. We have had the opportunity to take two needed vacations this summer and I will post all those pictures next!

Kids Say.........

I love the things that come out of my kids' mouth. Here are a few.......

"Daddy is a hero, because he has The Power"

"When Jayden and I grow up we are going to be just like Daddy, We are going to have the priesthood too. You need a girl to be just like you"

"When you look in my eyes can you see my skull?"

(in a very worried tone) "Mom what do I look like?" "You look like Alex." "Oh good"

After dropping daddy off at work one day both boys were crying for daddy. I told Alex that we were going to get ice cream, and not to be sad. He explains through tears.
"Yes, but I love my family the most"

Alex likes to tickle his ear with my hair. He has done ever since he was a tiny baby. The other day I spent a long time doing my hair, I even ratted it and created a bump-it! It looked very cute. Alex tried taking my clip out so he could play in my hair. He was very irritated that I asked him not to and says in an irritated almost teenager tone says....

"Are you trying to make me think that you are beautiful?" "No, Do I look beautiful?" I asked. "No" He says. My feeling were not too hurt, he usually tells me I am pretty all the time, He was just mad because he couldn't tickle his ears.

In a remorse tone almost as if confessing, he tell his aunt Rachel.... "(sigh) I like to play video games all day"

Jayden has started Calling me "Mommy" except when I come home through the garage door, then he yells "Daddy" I think he thinks this is some kind of welcome home greeting because we call out DADDY! when Stillman comes home in the evening. He also very dramatic and says OH NO for everything. I learned today at church that he know the color Yellow. He also tried very hard to sing all the primary songs for our program today. I love my kids.

On Mother's day all did not go as planned. Stillman had plans to make me breakfast in bed and give me my presents. Jayden woke up early and on the wrong side of the bed. He was screaming and mad about everything. All Jayden wanted was for me to crawl back in bed and cuddle with him. Sadly I could not accommodate because we had 9:00 church, Alex was suppose to sing, and we were running late. So amidst the crying and screaming Stillman yells out "Happy Mother's Day!" I laughed so hard. It truly made my day.
