Fire!

I have to give props to the Nampa Fire Department. I have heard that they have the fastest response time in the state. Well on Sunday we gave a sigh of relief for this fact. When we were unpacking from the cabin our friends walked by and said "wow, you missed all the excitement." We were distracted by the fact that our neighbor had his RV parked out front, we didn't notice that two houses down there was a huge fire. On Friday while we were up at the cabin they had a party. One of their friends put a cigarette out in their trash can outside. (they don't smoke). the fire burned up the back of the house and all through their attic and bonus room upstairs. The downstairs is ruined as well because of water damage. Our next door neighbor said at three in the morning he heard water hitting his house (he thought it was our sprinklers) and a roaring sound (he thought was his fridge going out) He got up to check and saw the red lights flashing. when he went outside they were hosing off his RV and house so it wouldn't catch fire as well. Our entire neighborhood smells like a campfire. They bought the house the same time we did. Luckily they have insurance which will replace almost everything they lost. Except of course the things that can't be replaced, so sad!

Cabin week

Well we just got back from our vacation at the cabin. It was a lot of fun. We wished we could stay longer. It was so nice to just relax with our families. We went up for the whole week. Michelle's family came up with us, as well as Nate and Melissa's family and Gma & Gpa. A highlight of the first weekend was the hot springs, soooo relaxing. Michelle's family went home on Monday and the rest of Stillman's family started showing up for the Reunion. We played games, Water skied, Jet skied, watched movies, tore apart the deck, ate, ate, and ate, some more. We even went to church in a barn. The McCall Bldg was under construction so they now hold it outside in a barn. It was fitting as it was Pioneer Day. It was great to see all of you from Utah, we sure do miss you. I made a video of our weekend, because I didn't want to take up a lot of space with pictures. Make sure you mute our music. Hope to see everyone again soon. Blue or Black

I need your opinion. I saw where someone had taken picture frames and painted them pink for girls and blue for boys. they then attached matching ribbon to the back of the frames and hung them by the ribbon. They were so adorable. Yesterday I went and bought some black frames to hang pictures up of the kids in their bedroom. I want to know if I should paint the frames blue and put matching blue ribbon to hang them or should I just hang them with black ribbon. keep in mind that these will be going in the boys' bedroom. This is the only picture I could find online of what I am doing, my frames are square though.

I love this park!!!

The Seltters Park playground area has finished its 3rd and 4th phase of their play area. And its Awesome! There is arock climbing area and also a sound area. The rock climbing is set up so you actually feel like your really rock climbing. The hand holds are crevises carved into of the rock.

my favorite part is the sound area. They have built giant drums and xylophones. You can hear the music all over the park, and its beautiful. It sounds like windchimes. Here are some pictures of Alex playing them.
