Look what I can do!

I am five months old and......I can sit up, I can almost crawl, and I like to razz. I also like to jump to every new person who comes in the room.

Okay so when I used to get on baby center they had this funny thread called "You know you have a boy when.........", so I wanted to start it here in honor of Heather and John's baby being due today. So post your funny stories about your little snakes, snails and puppy dog tails. (If you don't have boys and want to post about your little girls, that's fine too. So here are mine:

1. He sleeps with bouncy balls instead of Teddy bears.
2. He brings you pretty rocks instead of flowers.
3. He knows the BSU cheers before his ABC's
4. He insists on wearing his pj's all day long, even to church. (no we didn't let him)
5. He insists on wearing the same shirt over and over and over.
6. He makes you pretend the shopping cart is a race car
7. You visit the ER 4 times before he's two.
8. When he finally does start bringing you flowers he picks the neighbors roses
9. When you tell him not to pick the neighbors roses he asks, "But then how will you ever get flowers?" (to be fair Stillman gets me flowers all the time for no reason)
10. He makes you wear a construction helmet with him all day long.
11. He uses your rings from your ex-boyfriends as part of his pirate treasure.
(These are mostly things Alex does. For Jayden I think the only difference you would notice is that he is able to pee on you from across the room.)

the Dentist

Well Alex had his first trip to the dentist today. He did Awesome. He let the girl clean his upper teeth but then he didn't like that so she just used a tooth brush for the rest of his teeth. He let the Dentist use the metal mirror which he thought was pretty cool. And he let him count his teeth with the metal tooth scratcher (I hate that part). But his favorite part was their playroom. They have a huge Pirate Boat and a play center and game room. He also got to pick a toy out of the treasure chest. I peaked into a few of their other rooms and they have a BSU room! Alex's room had a T.V. on the Ceiling and they let him watch Finding Nemo and their was a fish take in that room. It reminded me of the Dentist on Finding Nemo. I am sure that was not a coincidence. So good job Alex and keep brushing those teeth.

Just Clean my carpet and leave!!

oh my goodness. Yesterday a very strange man knocked on my door. (Stillman calls him Bozo the clown) He asked me if we would be home this evening so they could clean one room in my house. As I was wanting to borrow a carpet cleaner from someone I said sure, knowing full well that we would have to stand our ground and not purchase their product, but like I said I wanted my carpet cleaned. He was quite surprised how many women he was finding at home while their husbands were at work. " I feel like I am on Wisteria Walk" he says. "Welcome to Idaho." I say.

OH my gosh!!! they would not leave. Their demonstration took Two hours. halfway through both kids were in desperate need to be taken to bed. I finally left Stillman downstairs and put Jayden to bed. Maybe it wouldn't have taken so long if she didn't include her little antidotes about, her kids, her weight loss, and her sex toys! That right! you read that right. (fingers in ears, lalalalalalalala, don't get a mental picture!!!) After her demonstration she asks us about buying the vacuum and we politely tell her we can't afford a $2700.00 Vacuum and that our Bissle will just have to do. So then her boss (Bozo) comes back in to hard sell us, and hard sell us he did. He would not stop. No matter how many ways Stillman told him that we simply could not afford monthly payments right now but if he would like to give us the thing for free we would gladly take it. Here are some of my favorite pitches he gave us

"Don't you think your wife deserves a Vacuum that will keep her house clean."
"What would you have told your wife, if 51/2 years ago she told you that she would marry you if you bought her two Vacuums." - (Stillman said he would have told me that I was crazy.)
"Would you drive a car that was old and run down and not performing well." (if we didn't have the money yes we would, we did.)

So beware! Don't let this clown in your house no matter how much the Vacuum sucks. By the way it is a good vacuum because despite their worst efforts I liked the vacuum.

Four Months

Jayden eating Cereal for the fist time. He loves to eat just like the rest of us. He can hardly contain his excitement. he wriggles and squeels. Its hard to get the food in his mouth. Alex being the super big brother that he is loves to help feed Jayden. He does a pretty good job, despite Jaydens nervous expression.
This picture was taken by Alex himself with no help from Mommy or Daddy. He was able to capture Jayden's excitement about eating with a spoon.
Also at Four months Brigitte convinced me to let Jaden try the swing. He loved it and couldn't stop laughing. When I get the video from Brigitte I will post it.

Super Baby!

Michelle: "Alex, you need your shoes on."
Alex: "that's Ok Mom, I can go little foot."
Translation: littlefoot=barefoot

Alex likes to get a big family hug and Sing We Are a Happy Fandily (that is not misspelled)
so we are sick today and Alex says. "One Happy Fandily not feeling so good."

Cousin Nikki the other day is watching Backyardigans and says very matter of factly "I'm going to be a giant someday."

Husband of the year!

If any of you know Stillman, you know what a BSU fanatic he is. Well this last week he has been working double over time, and even pulling an all nighter. So the kids and I have not seen much of him. We were offered a BSU ticket, and rather than leave me with the kids again, he is sending me to the game. Soo Sweet if you know Stillman. I told him next game I will watch the kids. So going to the game tonight without BSU's # 1 fan. Thanks Stillman.
