Coupons and Jayden update

I love coupons spin off!

Me too Laverne!! The other day Stillman and I took our coupons to Albertsons. We were a little skeptical because we didn't think they could beat Winco's prices. But whoa were we shocked. Albertson's was having a sale on their Cereal. (cheaper than Walmart on some of them) We had coupons for Cereal. Then you also got Free Milk at the Catalina if you bought Post Cereal. Which were on sale and we also had coupons for. Then we had coupons for Pillsbury biscuits. They were on sale and there was a coupon vendor right next to them plus a coupon for free eggs if you bought biscuits. We got the biscuits for $1.00+ and 2 cartons of free eggs!! We walked the isles only looking for things that were cheaper than winco and found some good deals. I got some Loreal makeup, buy one get one free!! (insert evil laugh hear) whuaahaahaa!
Jaden's baby food was cheaper than I could find it at Winco. When we got up to the counter we had saved over $100.00. We also got $5.00 off our next trip and some Free Gas. plus our Free Milk and a coupon for Yogurt. The other day when I went to Winco with my paper coupons I had a coupon for buy one get one free for Airwick air freshener and then I had another coupon for $1.00 off. Well Airwick air fresheners are only $.85 at Winco so I got 3/$.70. yesterday at winco we saved $15.00 in just coupons. whuaaahaahaa. but read the fine print the stores get reimbursed for the coupons from the manufactures so they can join me in my evil plot to save money. whuaahahahah!

Jayden

is 11 months old right now. And is definitely on the move. He has two forms of walks that we affectionately call the Monkey walk with his hands in the air, and the Drunken Sailor. The Drunken Sailor is a dance move that Stillman and I learned form our Del Sol days and when Jayden stumbles around he executes this move to a T. He goes whichever way the wind blows him. This walk usually happens when he is trying to go too fast or trying to switch directions. In which case he points with his hands the new direction and his body follows shortly after. He is very proud of the fact that he can now turn in circles and is trying his best to keep up with Alex when he runs. His favorite game to play with Alex is running. We finally decided that Jayden was due for a haircut.

He hated the haircut. The loud noise was too much for him. But he loved the bath with his cousin Brogan.
He looks like quite the little man now! What One year old doesn't love Elmo! Jayden had another first the other day. He fell asleep while he was eating! He woke up before I could get a pic of him though. I also learned not to give a baby Crystal light. That's right if it stains your counters it will also stain your babies buttocks when he poops. And Finally it Is Spring!!! I am so excited. I am actually going to plant flowers around my house. We finally bought pumpkin seeds to plant a pumpkin garden that Alex has been asking for for years. so yeah spring!

Alex's Birthday!

Here is Alex's birthday a little late. A few weeks before his birthday Alex was all set to have a teddy bear birthday. We even had a cake picked out. I was just excited that I wouldn't have to do a Pablo cake again. I was at the store and I saw some cute Spiderman mask for a birthday party, I asked Alex if he would rather have a Spiderman birthday party and he said yes. We went home and watched the movie and he has been obsessed ever since. Here is the cake we made, however I can't take credit for the idea, I stole it from Walmart. We already had the figurine from a Happy Meal.when we were getting the decorations (Which were pretty simple) Alex looks in the cart and with a huge smile says "I'm just so excited about this" I have to tell the back story to this picture. A year ago on Katie's birthday Alex blew out Katie's candles. so to make it up to her Alex decided that he wanted Katie to help him blow out his candles and help open his birthday presents. Katie started blowing the candle out a little too early so Alex stopped her.right before he blew out the candles he turned to her and said Okay Now! You can barley see Katie lips puckered here I almost didn't get a picture because he did it so fast.

Alex asked if we could go bowling for his birthday. Knowing how tight money is now we decided to go bowling on Monday for F.H.E. so that people wouldn't feel pressured to come. Turns out Monday night at BSU, shoes are free and a game is only 1.50! We also got two monte carlos for the next time we come!

Here are some of the pictures my Mom took at JC penny's for his birthday! He did a great Job! he even had his own request for props. A ladder and a couch just his size. My Mom brought in some of my grandpa's old cameras which I loved!

Four Years Ago Today!

Today Alex turns the big 0-4. This last year has flown by so fast. It's amazing how big he is. We just wanted to wish Alex a Happy Birthday and tell him how much we enjoy having him as our son. He is such a big helper with his little brother. I have never seen two kids love each other so much. He makes us laugh daily. We love you Alex! Go Web Go!

I have found some great advice and great savings from other links. You should go check them out. Right now the the Krazy Coupon Ladies are hosting another giveaway! But wait, it gets even better - not one, but three lucky readers will win one of these fabulous prizes! The talented Go Baby Idaho founder has so generously donated three AMAZING hand crafted baby items. If you leave a post and blog about it you to can enter to win.

The Vug under the Rug

Brigitte reminded me that I had not posted Jayden walking. When we were watching Brogan they looked so cute puttering around together I decided I had better document it before I forgot. So here it is!

The second video is of Jayden's favorite toy, A blanket of all things. We learned a game when Alex was in nursery. It's called Hot Dog. You take a blanket and roll the kids up in it. Make sure their heads are sticking out or they may get a little suffocated. After they are rolled up you grab the end of the blanket and pull on it so that they unroll. Both my kids love this game so we tried it with Brogan. Brigitte, Brogan loved this game! I wish I had caught that on video.

Funny Story: Alex loves Cheetos The puffy messy kind. What kid doesn't. Alex calls them Dog Cheetos. Very embarrassing in the store when he is asking for them. I thought this was because the Cheetah looks like a Dog or something. When I asked him why he calls them that he said, " I don't know." I said. "They are called puffy Cheetos." (anyone see where this is going?) He says "Puppy Cheetos?" OOOHHHH!!

Photoshoot

My Mom got some lighting equipment for Christmas so we decided to test it out along with some backgrounds that she has gathered up. Here are a few of the pics we got of the kids. Pretty darn cute if you ask me. Jayden learned that he loves carrots. They are perfect for teething. Alex decided to make a 3 day stew with the left over props.
