Thank Heaven for Little Boys Updated.

Last night we had gotten a little fed up with how wild our boys were being. Jayden had gotten a late nap. 6:30 p.m. Usually he is our easy one to put to sleep. Alex for some reason wanted to sleep on the top bunk. Which would be fine if we could be sure he would stay there all night long. (He is doing much better now with a little super hero incentive) So Stillman told him if he didn't get in his own bed we were going to leave and let him fall asleep on his own. (yeah right). Anyway we leave and are getting ready for bed when suddenly the screaming (that would be Jayden) from the other room stops. Stillman sneaks a peak in the room. Alex is sitting next to Jayden's bed and tickling his back trying to put him to sleep. How Sweet. He lasted about two minutes before he told Daddy that his arm was tired and it was his turn.

Today after church Alex said. " Mommy I love going to church and seeing that picture of Jesus where all the kids are gathered around Jesus. It is my favorite picture, I wish we had money so we could by that picture and put it in our house." "I also loved that song we sang today." Stillman and I were out of the room for teacher orientation so I had no idea what picture and song he was talking about. He said the song went like this: "The children were gathered rounds Jesus." After he described it a few more times, We figured out that it was the picture for this year theme and the song for this year's theme. I Know My Savior Loves Me. Here is the picture he was talking about.

Here is a movie of some random videos I have been taking.

Nerd Alert

I have to write these funny things down least I forget.

So today Alex is getting out of the bathtub and he informs me of his new name. It is ALEXPARKERNORTONFOUR. That is what he would like to go by. I told him that sounded like he was some kind of prototype. "No, silly Mommy".

So then later he is deciding what he wants to wear today. I have to give you a little background to this story: We were at the D.I. and Alex found this Spiderman dress shirt. A little too fancy to wear anywhere but church and yet a little irreverent for church. He brings me it and shows me it. So I tell him to go ask Daddy what he thinks. Instead Alex put it in the cart and then Stillman paid for it. We both assumed the other one had wanted to buy the shirt for Alex. Nope. So he decided he wants to where the shirt. It is mostly blue and red. The only pair of pants he has is a green cordiroy pair. So we put it on him and he insist that he button all the buttons up to the very top. It looks so Nerdy that we can't stand to see him go out like this. Stillman wonders if he would be a bad parent if he "accidently" spilled water on him. And yet he insists, because, and I qoute, "It's like Spiderman (The Shirt) is attacking the Green Goblin (The pants)". Yep that is exactly what it looks like.

We finally convince him to wear a pair of khaki pants. He looks a little better. Just a little dressy for the Dr. Office. But oh well. He is still insisting that he button the top button. I asked him if I could at least spike his hair so he looks a little better.
"No, because I won't be myself anymore, I will be STILLMANNORTONTWO."

P.S. Alex calls his Christmas Stocking his Beanstock. He also calls his elbow his Arm Bow.

Heads Will Roll

While we were all sick Jayden decided to climb our teetering shelf in the front room to reach a bottle of Tylenol. Our fall village is also up there. The whole thing came tumbling down on top of him. In the whole fiasco our headless horseman finally decided to strike on the unsuspecting towns folk.

GOAL!!

I am now a Soccer Mom. Stillman is now a Soccer Coach. Alex is now a Soccer player. I never really imagined being a soccer mom as neither Stillman nor I have ever really been interested in Soccer. We are more of a football family. but how can you resist when they look this cute!

We have had a bit of a struggle since all of our kids are first years and we are playing teams that have a mixture first and second year kids. Not to mention I don't think we have gone a week without someone on our team being sick with the flu. However they are making great strides and really getting the hang of it now. Today Alex scored two goals. (They are not his first goals) but still very exciting whenever it happens. Actually he scored three, but the third one was an accident. He was trying his hardest to keep the other team from scoring a goal but the ball hit his foot and then went in the other teams goal. He was so cute when he was telling us how disappointed he was that he had did that. We told them that he still did a good job at getting between the goal and the ball. He always says "I want to play defense today." I am not sure he knows exactly what that means, but he is good at it. I will have to post some video later. We still have two games left if anyone wants to come watch. They are Saturday the 17th at 11:30 a.m. and Saturday 24th at 11:30 a.m.
