Jayden on the other hand........................................................! Jayden is going through a naked phase. (sigh)

He loves taking off his coat, shoes, socks, pants, and yes his diaper. Every time we change him he takes his diaper back off. Stillman and I were in the office and he comes streaking through, Stillman screams AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! Jayden panics and ducks and covers. We had a good laugh. Alex comes and tells us that Jayden has his diaper off. So Stillman goes to put it back on. Just then Alex says YUCK! Yep! Jayden had pooped on the carpet. (Remember the brown carpet I wanted so bad because it camouflaged every crumb.) That wasn't even that bad.Tuesday. Tuesday disaster hit. Alex comes and tells me that Jayden's diaper is off. Not just off. "Mom you don't understand, Jayden has pooped on the floor and stepped in it." I turn around and Jayden walks in the office. With a trail of poopy footprints behind him. "JAYDEN!" and the chase commenced. I chased him through my front room (white carpet) And twice around the kitchen table and over the couch pillows. It seems he tried to change his own diaper because little pebbles of it were scattered on the camouflage carpet. It was so bad I couldn't even put, cleaning up poop, as my facebook status.
I am so torn. Part of me is excited because I recognize the beginnings of potty training readiness. and the other half grrrrralkjsdl@if*jowi*enmf. I brought Jayden upstairs with a stern "NO, NO, That is Naughty" and a spanking. (not really) He was still covered in poop! Jayden looks at the bath, giggles, and says with his hand in the air. "ALL RIGHT!"
(deap breath) Whatever.

I am SO SO SO Sorry! I am scared to death that Paige has this same thing coming to me. Shawn said use duct tape and have some sissors near when you change his diaper. Oh, I wish he understood.
That's one of those things that later you will laugh about it but at the time you just want to pull your hair out. I never had that problem with my kids so I'm not sure what kind of advice to give you. It was pretty funny to read your story though.
I hate to laugh but this story cracked me up! Sorry you were on poop patrol, your boys have such funny personalities! Hope the naked phase passes soon and potty training goes well :) Did the "spots" come out of the white carpet?
I don't know why some kids go through that and some don't but it does make for some funny stories (after the fact) I remember when Caden took the vent cover off the floor vent and pooped in there (winter time, heat is going, ... you get my whift? lol) and another time he pooped in his dad's shoe and another time he did it in the living room and then smeared it all over the TV. YOUR NOT ALONE DEAR! lol Hang in there, it will get better!
I say put him it two backwards onsies with clothes on over it. Maybe a belt that he can't get undone. At least Brogan only reaches in and smears it on his bed from time to time...we should team potty train.
Oh my goodness!!! is that what we have to look forward to? not fun.. although, we have tile throught... except the bedrooms...
oh dear. so are you telling me that there will be a day when rowan begins to take his diaper off and poo on the floor?? hmmmmm- can i skip this part of parenthood?
